Job Purpose: 
The Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for New Client and Renewal setups including the Enrollment Portal, Plan IDs, rates, and rules.  Developing and implementing business strategies and programs geared towards increasing the benefits offerings of My HR Professionals Benefits Inc.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate communication between agents/clients for information required to administer benefits. 
  • Provides training and develop presentations for clients and/or team members when applicable. 
  • Gather and communicate pertinent information to assist in the performance and productivity of Benefit offerings. 
  • Build out plans, portal, and communication tools within our software systems. 
  • Assist with the development of business strategies and plans for the Benefits Agency. 
  • Assist with administrative tasks including: 
    • Managing calendars 
    • Responding to emails, phone messages, and faxes 
    • Handling customer requests, questions, and complaints 
  • Coordinate meetings by: 
    • Compiling meeting materials and documents 
    • Creating presentations 
    • Booking travel arrangements as necessary 
  • Collaborate with other Directors and Executives to support organizational needs. 
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business. 

Education Requirements, Skills & Qualifications: 

  •  Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field. 
  • Preferred: Possession of an insurance license for Health and Life. 
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and company standard software specific to position with the ability to navigate systems quickly and produce necessary reports for analysis. 
  • Ability to effectively present information clearly and concisely, present ideas, report facts and respond to questions, as appropriate. 
  • Ability to provide customer service by responding appropriately to inquiries or concerns from agents, policyholders, regulatory agencies, management, and employees. 
  • Exemplary Customer Facing and Customer Service Skills. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Attention to detail is critical and ability to operate in a deadline driven environment. 
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and ability to conduct training in a variety of scenarios. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working and client relationship. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a strong teamwork environment. 
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and handle multiple tasks. 

Working Environment: 
Work is performed in an office setting and will require visiting client locations on occasion. Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. Must possess a valid driver's license with a record that meets company standards. Must be able to meet general physical requirements that would allow the Benefits Account Manager the ability to view and participate in operations which may include climbing stairs, ladders, and work in confined spaces, and or other similar situations. 

Physical Demands and Mental Competencies:  
This position requires the ability to read handwritten and rendered alphanumeric text, distinguish by sight numerical and mechanical differences, manual dexterity of both hands, occasional sitting for long periods of time, occasional standing, twisting and bending from a standing position and some light lifting.
